  This is a splendid trout lake to fish, however it can get a bit crowded due to its relatively small size. The fish that the lake is stocked with are beautifully colored and lively Kamloops rainbows. Most were found to be quite chunky (well-fed from the various insects and waterborne creatures) yet spry and agile, with some jumpers even cartwheeling when hooked. Great fly fishing. Cabins are milled log Pan Abode type with some basic utilities and are close to the water so you can slip down to the lake for easy access. Nice people come to the lodge, repeat customers who come every year. Met a few regulars this year. The lodge is run by the most charming and friendly staff. The food (breakfasts and dinners) is superb, as is the conversation that can be had if you are lucky enough to dine with the visiting former owner Peter McVey. The new owners have added a fly tying bench replete with a good selection of fine materials and hooks, allowing a person to whip up just about any type of lake fly. I have to give this place 5 stars. It has the complete package. People there are down to earth. Something tells me I'll be back, and I wouldn't mind making it a yearly getaway......

  A good idea if you want to go fly fishing but don't have a boat. Very old run-down wood cabins that had running water, electricity, and mediocre beds. Prepare to share your space with mice and lots of bugs. Gorgeous views though.
